Last night, under the vast and pristine skies near Lochinver, Scotland, I experienced the aurora borealis for the very first time. Known for its extraordinarily dark skies, this area provided the perfect setting for nature’s most mesmerizing light show.
Scotland is home to some of the darkest skies in Europe, and the area around Lochinver offered an unobstructed view of the cosmos. As the night fell, stars appeared with an intensity I had never seen before, illuminating the sky and creating a sense of calm and wonder.
Then, the aurora borealis began to emerge—a faint green glow that quickly expanded into a vibrant display of greens, pinks, and purples swirling across the sky. It was like watching a live painting in motion, a masterpiece crafted by nature itself. This was truly Art in Nature at its best, an unforgettable experience that felt as if the universe was revealing one of its greatest secrets.
As I watched the aurora, I felt the rhythm of the lights resonating with me, stirring melodies and harmonies within. This experience has already begun inspiring new music, capturing the visuals and emotions I felt under that incredible sky. Nature’s beauty has a way of igniting creativity, and last night, I felt that spark more than ever.
