Train Journey to Inverness: The Magic of Scottish Landscapes

Today, under a cloudy and picturesque sky, I began my trip from Glasgow to Inverness. Along the journey, the landscape transformed from vast green valleys to mountainous and rocky hills, passing through small villages with dark-roofed houses. They evoked an ancient and magical time.

At Gleneagles, a small and welcoming station immersed in the countryside, the train picks up the last passengers. It resonates with chatter and joy. Some of the local speak Gaelic, a language with Viking roots, and that made me immediately feel how far away I am from my Roman roots.

I continue the journey crossing Perth and here is where the landscape recalls fairy-tale and breathtaking scenarios.

My arrival in Inverness is punctual and I am ready to explore these ancient lands, accompanied by the melody of a traditional song in my headphones.
