The journey continues, and the Highlands keep revealing new challenges and wonders. On October 14th, I’ll set off on a hike from Cape Wrath to Sandwood Bay, one of the wildest and most beautiful areas in Europe. Walking through these remote landscapes will be unforgettable, with the wind, salty air, and solitude of Sandwood Bay offering the perfect space for reflection.
After this, October 16th brings another exciting day. I’ll travel for two and a half hours to the Isle of Handa, known for its seabird colonies. Reaching the island by ferry from Tarbet, I know that being surrounded by such untouched nature will deeply inspire my music. Reconnecting with nature like this is essential to my creative process.
October 17th will be all about reflection and composition. I’ll take the time to process everything and start turning my emotions and experiences into new musical ideas, working with recordings, videos, and images I’ve captured along the way.
Finally, on October 18th, I’ll head to Assynt, an area rich in geological history, famous for its ancient mountain formations. This will be another inspiring stop, with landscapes that tell stories from millions of years ago.
I can’t wait to share what this journey will inspire. Follow along on my blog as I experience these final moments. www.riccardopesmusic.com/blog
