๐ป I am thrilled to announce that on September 12, 2024, from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM, I will be part of the Secret Concertby DEBUT, one of the monthly classical music events held in a unique location: the Thames Tunnel Shaft at the Brunel Museum.
๐ This historic space, located south of the Thames, tells the story of London and offers ideal acoustics for music. It will host a unique event that combines sounds and atmosphere, enriched by the collaboration with Midnight Apothecary, which will offer nature-inspired cocktails in the enchanting rooftop garden, creating a multisensory experience that unites music, flavors, and history.
Industrial architecture has always had a deep fascination for me, a silent yet powerful allure that goes beyond mere aesthetics. The clean lines, large windows, and simple geometric shapes reflect a design that forgoes unnecessary embellishments, achieving timeless elegance. These materials, which may seem cold elsewhere, become almost poetic in an industrial setting.
๐น The concert promises to be an intimate and engaging experience, where music will come to life within the ancient walls of the tunnel. I will be joined by an exceptional group of musicians: Meriel Cunningham (mezzo-soprano), Lewis Kingsley Peart (piano), Lizzie Holmes (soprano and host), and Sam Peรฑa, the resident pianist and master of improvisation.
๐ผ The evening's repertoire will offer a variety of classical pieces and modern reinterpretations, ranging from lyrical arias to improvisations. Each artist will bring their unique style, creating a blend that sets this event apart from the traditional classical music concert. The evocative setting and close proximity to the audience will make the evening even more special.
