On Friday 6th October, I arrived all the way from Italy to Sycamore Gap to play my piece “Lament for the Tree”. I have been very touched by this tragic event and playing my cello is my way to expressing my sorrow.
The journey to get to the site was incredibly adventurous as I have faced many disruptions due to the strike of public transports. Luckily, I met new friends that helped me reach The Sill Discovery Centre, where a 40-mins walk to the Sycamore Gap Tree starts. The path was very muddy and the weather windy and rainy but I was determined to get there and pay my tribute to the Tree anyway.
A documentary of the story behind the making of this video will be soon released - so stay tuned!!
