Tonight we inaugurate the first edition of Festival Biancospino — a musical journey rooted in the heart of Gualdo Tadino, a town embraced by the singular beauty of the Valsorda in Umbria, which I have had the joy of calling home since last year. The festival draws its name and inspiration from the miracle of the Hawthorn of Blessed Angelo, a timeless symbol of community and hope for the people of Gualdo Tadino. I’m absolutely thrilled to be part of the prestigious *Suoni Controvento* Festival this summer. On 10 August, at the stunning Sasso Pecoraro in Costacciaro, I will perform *Sgrìoban Dìomhair* (*Mystic Trails*), a work born from my deep connection with nature and the landscapes of the Scottish Highlands and Islands.

The Trio Dalì – formed by Enrico Cossio (oboe), Marko Jugovic (vibraphone), and myself (cello) – stands out for its originality and power to surprise. The ensemble itself — a rare combination of oboe, cello, and vibraphone — is a bold artistic statement, signaling a clear intention to break from tradition and explore uncharted sonic landscapes.
